"Sweetferns are not showy, but they are perfect for a sunny dry spot needing no care once established. I have some thriving in a healthy patch already, otherwise I would be buying them." -Alison Saylor
"A big thank you to the Garden Club for donating $50 worth of native, non-cultivar plants to the Town Hall straight native flower bed effort. How about two sweetferns? This plant was suggested in the discussion we had at Fern's and it would provide nice foliage and texture. Thankyou! " -Christina Christodoupoulos
"The unique scalloped leaves on sweetfern are also pleasantly fragrant. I've been adding a few each year to a sunny slope." - Sally Ishizaka
