

2026 Garden Club Native Plant Sale is now open!
Native Shrubs and Trees for spring planting
From now until May 9th the Carlisle Garden Club is pleased to offer a variety of native shrubs and trees. These cultivars were chosen for their beauty and vigor in Carlisle, and because they are native they will support birds, insects, and other wildlife in your yard. Availability is limited so don’t delay!
Plants can be picked up at the Town common Saturday May 16th from 9am to 12pm. All sales support the Garden Club’s civic beautification programs.

Latin Name: Lindera Benzoin
Description: Tall shrub or small tree? Spicebush has small yellow flowers in early spring, spicy-scented foliage that hosts spicebush swallowtail caterpillars, and pale gold fall foliage. Red fruits (on female plants only) are high-energy snacks for migrating birds.
