Native Shrubs and Trees for spring planting
From now until May 9th the Carlisle Garden Club is pleased to offer a variety of native shrubs and trees. These cultivars were chosen for their beauty and vigor in Carlisle, and because they are native they will support birds, insects, and other wildlife in your yard. Availability is limited so don’t delay!
Plants can be picked up at the Center Park Monday May 19th from 9am to 12pm. All sales support the Garden Club’s civic beautification programs.
Latin Name: Chionanthus Virginicus Conservation Grade
Description: A beautiful sight in bloom, covered with white fringe-like flowers (showier on male trees), that are followed by dark blue berry-like fruits (on female trees only) and clear yellow fall foliage.

"I planted one last year in my own landscape. There is a wonderful mature one on the left side lawn as you look at the front door of the First Religious Society in Carlisle. It has showy white flowers and later on large purple fruit. Alison Saylor"
