Native Shrubs and Trees for spring planting
From now until May 9th the Carlisle Garden Club is pleased to offer a variety of native shrubs and trees. These cultivars were chosen for their beauty and vigor in Carlisle, and because they are native they will support birds, insects, and other wildlife in your yard. Availability is limited so don’t delay!
Plants can be picked up at the Town common Saturday May 16th from 9am to 12pm. All sales support the Garden Club’s civic beautification programs.

Latin Name: Cephalanthus occidentalis 'Crimson Comets'
Description: Interesting spherical flower heads. Tolerates wet feet and does not tolerate drought. Best flowers with more sun. Terrific nectar plant. Can be cut back every one to three years to 6-12" to keep as a 3-4' mound. Blooms on new growth so no loss of flowers summer blooms.
